Children & Families

Our Sunday School program, catering for children aged 4-7 years, runs in conjunction with our worship services throughout the school term.

The program includes age-appropriate games, songs, stories and craft activities based upon a Bible Story or a promise from God.

There is no cost however the children are invited to bring along an offering. Our Sunday School offerings are currently being used to purchase chickens for farming families in third world countries.

Kids Hope Aus. is a World Vision mentoring program seeking to have a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children in our community. Kids Hope is a mentoring program built on a long-term partnership between local churches and primary schools, where a caring adult from the church spends one hour each week with a child.

A Kids Hope mentor comes along-side a child to give encouragement and be their friend; to care and to have fun together. A wonderful relationship develops between a mentor and a child and that one hour each week can make such a difference to the child's confidence. It can improve their resilience, cause a reduction in inappropriate attention-seeking behaviour, and facilitate improvement in both their academic and social skills.

Since Horsham Church of Christ was introduced to the Kids Hope mentoring program in 2006, approximately ten mentors from our church congregation have been committed to this 'ministry' of serving our community by mentoring a child at Horsham North Primary School.
